Man fatally shot inside San Francisco cafe

San Francisco Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man inside a cafe on the 900 block of Polk Street in the city’s Civic Center area Thursday afternoon.

Police received a report of shots being fired inside the Jebena Coffee and Tea Company at 4:30 p.m. and arrived to discover a man in his twenties suffering from at least one gunshot wound, a police spokesperson said.

The man was later pronounced dead.

Police said they were still searching for suspects and did not have a description of the person who shot the victim.

A bystander told the Beat that the victim was being chased by another person and ran into the coffee shop, where he was shot in the head.
