San Francisco Police are searching for an at-risk elderly man who disappeared from an Outer Richmond District assisted living facility Thursday afternoon.

Police said Kenneth Chin, 73, was last spotted on the 700 block of 35th Avenue at 3:30 p.m. and has not been seen since. Workers at Nicario’s Care Home notified authorities after they discovered that the man had gone missing.

Chin, who last last seen wearing a black jacket, a long sleeve blue denim shirt, jeans and black velcro shoes, suffers from dementia, schizophrenia and has high blood pressure, police said. He is described as an Asian male, 5-foot-10, 172 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.

The missing man did not leave the care facility with his medication, police said.

Authorities urged anyone who locates Chin to call 911 or the San Francisco Police Department’s Missing Persons Detail at (415) 558-5508.
