Prince William & Kate to visit California this summer

Newly-married Prince William and Kate Middleton — the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — will visit California for three days in July, Buckingham Palace confirmed Thursday.

The royal couple will visit to the Golden State for beginning on July 8, the Palace announced.

The trip will follow a visit to Canada where William and Kate are expected to tour Alberta, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, the Northwest Territories and the National Capital Region.

It will be the couple’s first trip to the United States after being married in during last week’s high profile wedding in London. For Middleton, the trip to California will be her first visit to the US.

The Palace did not release details about where the couple would visit during their three-day stay.
