PHOTOS: Sunday Streets in the Mission, A day of outdoor fun in San Francisco
Families, couples, and friends perused the streets of San Francisco’s Mission District on Sunday during the monthly run of Sunday Streets. The event, held on the first Sunday of every month through August, begins at 11AM and has a scheduled end time of 4PM. Today’s edition spanned from 14th Street to 24th Street on Valencia, and then from Valencia to Hampshire Street on 24th Street.
Rollerbladers, bicyclists, skateboarders, and pedestrians were all welcome. The monthly event is sponsored by the San Francisco Municipal Transit Agency and Bank of America, among others and aims “to encourage health, community and fun.”
The next edition of Sunday Streets in San Francisco will be held on July 1, once again in the Mission District.
